Polyurea Coatings
Techni-Kote introduces the capabilities to spray apply high performance polyurea coatings with the construction of a dedicated spray facility, acquisition of a high-pressure Graco Reactor for large pieces and a Graco E-10 for smaller projects. Pure polyurea coatings will bring advantages that traditional epoxy's and phenolic coatings can not offer.
Spray polyurea coatings offer superior physical properties such as:
- 100% Solids
- VOC Free and no odor
- Very quick tack free times of 30 seconds
- Excellent hardness making them very difficult to cut
- Excellent tear strength of 400-600 psi (pli ASTM-624-C)
- Excellent elongation - up to 635%
- Excellent thermal shock
- Excellent tensile strength
- Excellent impact resistance of 20-22 ft. lbs (ASTM-D3776)
- Excellent thermal exposure of 250-275° F (121-132° C)
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Excellent cathodic protection
- High hydrolytic stability
- Hydrophobic in water
- Direct to metal adhesion with excellent pull strength
- Can be sprayed as thick as necessary
- Applicable to pipe lengths up to 45'
